Logitech stopped supporting their older Harmony models

Hi all,
Long time...
I haven't found any topics in this forum mentioning a recent end of online config support for quite a few models of their Harmony line of products. Happened on the 28th of May this year.
See for example, here:

Thanks to everyone contributed for your ideas. I have some avenues to explore.

Strongly agree with you, Steve, that this panel is no doubts deteriorating, and every hour of future work from its side will be a blessing.
HamburgerHelper1 , by your reply it looks like you are in oz too. If so, I ...

Re: Direct codes for brightness/LED adjustment on LG OLED TV

Where are you located?
Perhaps you could find your local E-Recycle companies and see if you could find a panel that way.
Maybe a smashed screen but the back-lights are still good
Yes you would have to take the panels apart but it might be worth it
Down under. Very small second hand spare parts ...

Thanks, HamburgerHelper1 , I know about BCs, of course, and have been a member there for a long time. Actually, EG9600 and my EG960 are very close models. I am aware of those tricks described in that thread. (Diah is a unique guy with a lot of knowledge on the subject). I am convinced that in my ...

Hi Rob,
Thanks for your valuable input, as always.

The itemised response is below.

1) I indeed forgot to mention that I am using the original LG magic remote that came with this TV set, and also the original LG service remote (such as, for example, shown here:

Direct codes for brightness/LED adjustment on LG OLED TVs

Hi all,

Long time no post. Hope everyone made it through C19 more or less painlessly.

I have a (seemingly) "weird" inquiry.

The story: I have an LG OLED TV here which has a fault. Its picture brightness settings are set to maximum, and because of that, every time when the TV is turned ON, it ...

Thanks everyone for your replies.

I have added a couple of photos of the box to my original request - sorry for the large pictures.

I am reluctant so far to pull it apart - want to exhaust the less invasive solutions first. But I will, if I need to.

I will try NEC1, 0,0. I don't know the button ...

Thermistor value in Logitech Harmony LiPo batteries for RCs.

Hi all,

Not exactly JP1 hardware question, but close enough.

If anyone owns the Logitech Harmony remote that uses the LiPo flat rechargeable battery (link below), and have a multimeter, can you please do me a small favor:

I am referring to this battery that is used across the range of Harmony ...

The Robman wrote:people can learn the buttons from their original remotes and load them up to their web site and they convert them into upgrades for the remote, which is a pretty cool way to build your database.
Isn't that what we do here too? Well... sometimes, at least... :-)

What I meant was more like whether Harmony have links to the manufacturers and therefore are basing their upgrades on formal specifications, or Harmony's guess (for leadout time, for example) is as good as ours here.
Just curious more than anything else. Understanding that there may be no known ...

Receivers are usually pretty tolerant so in all likelihood it doesn't matter, but sometimes they change suppliers and the new units are more fussy than the old units, so it's always best to match if you have the option to do so. That brings up the related question: do we assume that the IR timing ...

Thanks DS. I checked your file and noticed that the leadout time box was still blank, so I updated it to 20. I wrote earlier that I experimented with different LeadOut settings (0/20/44) in the working upgrade, and that made no difference, so I decided to leave it at the default (0) value. But, of ...

Hi all,

I have manually edited three lines in protocols.ini files (related to SharpDVD) as was instructed above by Rob.

Then I have created the upgrade for my Comcast1067Bx3, based on the Barf's upgrade from the previous page.
It all works. I haven't tested all functions from that upgrade ...

This thread is getting slowly hijacked... :-)))

That's OK. I got it, Rob. Will try protocols.ini fix tonight and report here.
One question though. If it all works, do I then keep the amended protocols.ini or should it be reverted back to the old state CmdTranslator=Translator(lsb, comp) XorCheck(4 ...
