Woke up, tried -great!
Apparently a 994 key load stores protocol and EFC for any loaded key across setup codes.
THANKS.

How will I know when I've hit a limit, memory?

This is a 5 digit setup code remote.

If I read you right... I don' t need to use the TV device slot as go between - I could set a setup code, store EFC's for that code on some buttons, change setup codes, and set EFC's on other buttons, and all work using their specific setup codes (without ...

Sorry I was less than clear.

I have a HTPC with Windows 7, a USB to serial port converter, and can communicate serially into either/both a Pioneer AV receiver (VSX-59TVi) and a Pioneer Blu-Ray disc player (BDP-23FD) to control that device, get responses, status and such just fine.

In addition ...

Any help on my desire? I don't know the order/priority of the signal path, but they must connect. I'm hoping for a serial 'escape to bus' character, then use device code, button code or some such....

Exactly, yes to both, thought a bit of shorthand would be common here!

Pioneer RS232>SR

I want to send commands from PC into serial, and have them move along SR bus as though they were shared IR commands. (1 machine, DVL -91, does not have serial port, all have SR)
Can they somehow share the serial ports?

Hey!

I have gotten 2 of these and generally working through learning 'hacking' OK.

I would like to:

Build my device selections, additional EFCs and upgrades into packages that all use only the DVD device type - it has the most keys without the screen switching that just confuses users.
Is there a ...

After working through 2 of these a bit more, I find the 0-9, Input 1-9 to be consistent and apparently particular to these remotes.

However, in every Remote Master file I go into that uses Input 0-9, they are reversed (I have to change the assigned functions from 0-9 to Input 0-9, and vice-versa ...

Questions about wav selection... (since this post has software pictures)

I have been selecting "Upgrade" instead of any other choice, as it appeared to be the least inclusive. Here I see someone recommending "Image" to a noob like me. (I'm assuming "Entire Image" is more comprehensive like in PC's ...

A few good questions...

Hey - slogging through, reading a lot, I can .wav my 2138 for my PE BDP23-FD (hurray!) (I've ordered some 9960/9964s so some questions are about those.) In looking and learning, I still have a few ?'s

1 Most everything seems to have 2 'Enter' s now - 1 for the cursor and 1 for the number pad. Are ...

If I understand this at all...

MM had us change DVD device, and then SAT device to some particular device code (I assume RCA DVD and SAT for that particular remote).

MM then has us borrow/steal/copy an EFC from those device codes that will NOT effect the RCA DVD device or RCA SAT device directly ...

15-1919 slow?

Wore the button text off my Icons, and realized how bad they sucked on training. Dug out my old 15-1919 set (I do play with some X10 stuff) and thought I would try JP1 etc.
The 1919 works, but seems slow, I do not have a good memory of it working otherwise...
When I press any button that should ...
