When this happens, try the following:

Unplug the usb cable from the computer, wait about 3 seconds and plug it back in.

When you do this, do not close IR and do not unplug it from the remote. Then try to upload or download.

Need help - Replay 5k extender after 2k eeprom upgrade

OK, so I upgraded one of my Replay 5k remotes to a 2k eeprom, but am unsure how to get the extender to use the extra memory. I am sure the RDF needs modified but I am unsure what to change. Thanks!

Old chips were from 11/04 batch, new chips were ordered 4/4/05. Have you tested any of your chips to see if they are causing the same problem? You have to upload different data than is in the remote already. ie. do a download, change something, and then upload it. This is when the error occurs.

Upload Error with Filebug USB Cables

There is a problem with the Delcom USB chip used in the Filebug USB cable. The chip programmer must have made a change to the code and it is now causing an error on all uploads to the remote. I will be contacting them Monday to discuss this issue. In the meantime, please send me an email at jp1 ...

I have isolated this problem to the Delcom USB chip. They must have made a change to the code they programmed into this chip because the older chips do not cause any errors. I will be contacting them Monday to discuss this issue. In the meantime, please send me an email at jp1@filebug.com for return ...

I would suggest you stay away from the USB cable with the IBM thinkpad's. I have heard from a few people who have had trouble with the usb and thinkpad combo.

From my experience, ultra cables work best on laptops but simple cables will work if you don't mind using some of the voltage workarounds ...
