After further review, I discovered that the last command of each of the macros was missing after I edited them. I put them back and the macros work on the macro keys now.

This is all I did:

I had keymoves set to the macro keys so I changed them to the PIP row of keys in case having the keymoves on ...

8810w macro key behavior question

My TV displays a menu when the input key is pressed. You can keep pressing input to cycle through the inputs or press a number key to go directly to the desired input.

I created some short macros to directly change to the input of choice and set the device mode to the correct device for that input ...

After deleting the registry key and running IR again, it's back to normal I think. The panel height and width values were both 0 before I deleted it.

Last night I was starting to experiment with extenders and I tried to use the merge ...

I discovered that my cable lays towards the head of the remote on both the 8810w and 15-1994. I don't recall who was selling cables 5 yrs ago, but the cable itself is round with blue insulation containing individual insulated wires.

IR8 Problem, need to delete registry keys

Somehow the general tab got messed up, the download from and upload to buttons are right below the tab labels. The upper panels are missing and the General Notes panel takes up most of the general tab. The mouse pointer changes to the symbol you get when you point at an adjustable divider just below ...

you would be better off using that information to create a better upgrade. This information can then replace information in the upgrade device, and used to in keymoves, to add functionality.

One of the things we do with the learning memory, is install extenders which make it possible to use that ...

Of course I don't know what goes on under the hood. But when a signal is learned, IR shows protocol, device, sub-device, obc etc in the learned signals tab.

I thought, if it was possible, the ability to add the info IR shows on the learned signals tab manually would be useful.

Say you don't have ...

I was wondering why the learned signals tab doesn't have the ability to add info like the keymoves tab does. It would be nice to be able to easily add info from the advanced codes lists into the learned signals memory.

Market Value of a Radio Shack 15-1994?

How much would a Radio Shack 15-1994 that's had almost no use be worth these days?

Thanks,

LOL, Thanks.

I did go ahead and use a keymove in IR to set the play button to mute for a JVC tv, at least I think I did. It stopped the offending behavior anyway.

This is the keymove I added:

From Dev ---- TV
Key ----------- Play
To Dev ------- <N/A>
Device Type - TV
Setup Code -- 0053
Hex ...

The Robman wrote:You could keymove EFCs from a setup code that you don't use (for another TV for example).
That sounds like the way to go, all I'll have to do is the play button.

I've peeked at the extender section a couple of times, I may experiment with those after I get this thing working.

The transport keys were not in the button map for the 881x.

Is there a way to define a null operation, all zeros for EFC OBC HEX or something like that?

I don't want to just put in ...

Isn't DAT digital audio tape? Wouldn't tape be casette or reel to reel since video tape is covered by VCR? Just curious.

WAG?

Not assigned in TV upgrade. Not a keymove. No learned keys.

This behavior also happens if I use the builtin 0156 TV code.

I really only have to stop the play key from working while in TV mode, that would stop the vcr from coming on when I don't want it to. But, I'd still like to know why ...
