I learned two keys for each HR20. I then pulled the config with IR 6.2. Under the Learned Keys tab I can see the four keys. The protocol shows to be Russound and the OBC, Hex Cmd, & EFC match with those in the HR20 rmdu file uploaded by bobshults2.

The device ID is the only thing different between ...

I've been examining my old DirecTivo files and reading about "Fixed Data" and it appears that just changing the fixed data value so that a separate device will be addressed will do the trick.

Is this correct? And, if I use my learning remote to learn one or two keys for the HR20 controlled by the ...

The hr20 only has two IR addresses, those are native codes 00001 & 00002. The oem remote can be set to codes 00003 & 00004 but they're useless with hr20 at this time.
Just double-checked to make sure - Mine is set to 00003. When I programmed it I tried several times over to get it to work with ...

How would one go about setting up a second remote for the HR20? My second HR20 operates on the "AV1" setting on the original remote and I used "00003" as the programming code.

Thanks for the help.

Okay, I've changed the protocol to NEC 2Dev Combo and the Device numbers as such:

Protocol Name: NEC 2DEV Combo
Device1: 122
Sub-Dev1: 122
Device2: 126
Sub-Dev2: 126

Then, in the byte2 column of the Functions sheet I've added the corresponding device numbers as in decimal format above.

No worky ...

Need help with Yamaha RX-V1400 A/V receiver

Yamaha RX-V1400

Uses NEC1 and has Standard and Extended IR codes (from http://www.yamaha.com/yec/customer/ir_codes.htm ). I used Yamaha_RX-V1300.txt which is essentially the same device. It contains only the Standard codes which use the "Main Device" number 122. The Extended codes use the Main ...

Thanks for the quick response.

I knew it was something simple. I had PhilipsTiVoNPU_ib_v_1_3.txt loaded and it doesn't show the "Unit Code" cell.

I have a Series 1 Hughes DirecTivo and when I loaded Tivo_Series_1.txt the Unit Code cell shows.

Hopefully that's the right one.

"Unit Code" Location?

Several posts have made reference to the "unit code" cell in the Setup tab of KM (v8.21) but I cannot see it.

I'm sure that the answer will require a "Doh" response on my part so I'll go ahead and offer it now:

Doh!

Thanks for your help.
