Probably not. Two things you have to understand:
1. You can never use the Mute and Vol buttons on a Sling remote. These buttons are actually hijacked by Slingplayer and used to control it's own Volume, they are never sent to the device. So you would have to use some of the other buttons. However ...

OK. I have a slingbox 350, a tivo premiere XL4, and a Samsung HW-D550 sound bar. My slingbox is connected to my tivo via component cable from my tivo. My tivo is connected to my soundbar via HDMI and then from then HDMI to my Samsung TV.
