RS 15-2116 + JP1 cable value?

I have a lightly used RS 2116 remote, and an extra JP1 cable I'm looking to get rid of....

Is there a market for this? Any ideas what a decent price would be? I don't even remember how much the remote was--$30.00 or so? And I think the cable was $15.00.

Anyone?

Thanks,

Scott

Keymap for existing codes?

Is there a way to see what the default keys are for an existing code for a particular remote?

Would you have to find the code as an upgrade and load it into RM/KM? or something else?

Or is trial and error the easier way?

Thanks:

Thanks Mark.

For some reason, I thought there was lots more room for keymoves.

The upgrade I created is for a DVD/VCR combo--using a DVD device code.

Is there an easy way to check and see if I could use a different device type to eliminate some?

Thanks,

Scott

Move/Macro memory almost Gone!!!!

Using a RS 2116 remote--have created one upgrade, which (along with a few manual keymoves) has resulted in 20 keymoves, and I have 4 Macros (fairly basic).

Problem is, on IR, it's now showing I only have "11 Free" in my Keymoves/Macros memory...while upgrades has "730 free" and learned has "948 ...

Mike:

I'll mess with it some more, but the shift doesn't seem to work. I've tried it on both digit keys (using 2 presses) and the function keys using one press. Nothing.

Thanks for the response.

Another question about this remote....in IR, it shows the shift key for macros etc. but the macros don't seem to work.

Is it something other than the "setup" key for shift? or does this processor just not recognize shifted functions?

Thanks.

You guys are amazing. I wish I could do something in return. You've made simply average remotes into the absolute best bang for the buck, bar none.

I truly appreciate it. If you do any flying (commercial or otherwise) at least know that me or one of my union brothers are keeping your aircraft ...

Never mind....I figured it out. But how did you see that? Where does it show what the device code is in the upgrade?

Thanks again...a million.

OK, Rob....

You lost me. I thought I followed your directions explicitly, but obviously I missed a step somewhere.....

Where in RM do I set the device code? Or do I set it in IR?

My brain hurts....

Please diagnose....

here is an upgrade that I attempted to make for a URC naviagator remote to operate a Yamaha 5 disc CD changer.

I used remote master, IR 5.0, and a 2116 to learn the commands from the original remote.

which file to upload?

I looked around, but couldn't find this....which file is it that needs to be uploaded for troubleshooting? I tried to create an upgrade for my Yamaha 5-disc CD player, and it seemed to work, but none of the buttons seem to do anything.

Please advise, and I'll upload.

Thanks,

Naming an Upgrade

I'm creating an upgrade for a Yamaha 5 disc CD changer. What happens if I name it the same as an existing code? (CD/0036) Will it ignore the upgrade, use the upgrade instead, or lock up?

The remote I'm creating it for, a Navigator, only uses 3 digit codes, so I can't do the "2XXX" thing.

What to ...

Rob:

I'll have to look when I get home...I'm at work.

If it IS something besides CBL/0476, how do I upload it for you to see?

There's a TV code as well....where do I look to see if it's a new one? Or should I just post here, and you can tell me if you want to see them?

Thank you very much! I get it now.....

I figured something was up when I connected my -2116 and it had nothing there either.

Here's a rough idea of what I'm trying to do....

I've got the VCR key set as an audio device (Yamaha CD/0036). On the -2116, the navigation keys control "next disc/previous ...
