I have run out of ideas then. The CH- on the C2013 BIN file sends NEC1 Device:0 OBC:94 and my S2010 also sends that identical code. I cannot explian why the C2013 works and the S2010 doesn't.

OK, that box uses NEC1 0, whereas the s922 decoded as NEC1 1:127. No idea why. So I have updated the remote at https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=11725 just changing the device number. Does it work and do the buttons match up ?

None of the remotes you listed are JP1-- they don't have a 6 pin connector. The usual remote we suggest for learning is the RCA RCRP05B.

The DIYGadget USB flash cable will work with JP1.2/1.3/1.4 remotes (the RCRP05B is a 1.3 remote), but we haven't had success reading the newer JP2 or JP3 remotes ...
