All buttons seem to be there. They just needed to be rearranged a bit. Actually the RCA does well except the TiVo button is "Menu" and the Slow button is the RCA "stop." TiVo has no on/off or stop. It just keeps going and going and ...

Changing the code from 113 to 133 worked. Thank you very much. It's amazing the help one gets on this forum. I'm not sure why it failed unless I was first to use it. Should someone upload a correction?
Some keys don't play, like the "live" one. I'm still unsure how the upgrade differs from the ...

When I change the DVR device code to the internal code 0739 using the General Tab, the Tivo seemed to work. I am trying to use eferz upgrade since it seemed to be specifically designed for the Tivo Premiere.

Yes. It was assigned using the General tab and typing in the device code 1111 that came with the upgrade for the DVR button. I then tried reassigning the code to 2011 using the Device tab and changing the device code to 2011 on the general tab. None of the buttons seem to work either way ...

Tivo Premiere

I'm using the extended remote "RCA RCRP05B black extender v1.05" and have it working well with the TV on antenna. Now I'm adding a TiVo as input to the TV instead of the antenna and the Tivo is not responding.

The upgrade is "Premiere XL Elite and Series 3" by eferz.
When you open this file by ...

Good stuff, unclemiltie,
I didn't see the history in the Wiki TOC. Unless I missed it maybe a Wikinini would put it into the Wiki for us. :D

I understand. Thank you for tolerating my nosy questions. Somebody must have poked around the hardware quite a bit to figure this all out.

This IR thing is quite a gadget. I almost have all my things going. I decided to delete the pause after power up and just press the button a second time after ...

What would DVR $42 try to be if it was shifted or xshifted? i.e. which bits are forced on?

RCRP05B Extender - DVR Button No Shift

In the Macros Tab, the DVR button is not allowed a Shift or XShift assignment (the boxes are greyed.) While the dev4 button allows them. Shouldn't the reverse be true? I'm thinking since the DVR button is real, it should be allowed the Shift options?
I'm not sure but this may be an rdf issue ...

A point of clarification. The extender does an implicit Dev_Cancel at the end of every macro when it passes control back to the underlying remote so the Dev_TV on the end of your LKP is not necessary unless there is something else firing after that (i.e. another macro)

Everything in the ...

I prefer to put in no delay, and push the button twice. That way I don't have to hold the remote during the delay.

We have a Sony TV, and it is setup so that it remembers the input state it had before it was last powered off. It turns out that we nearly always want the same input the next time we ...

Thank you andyross,
I have it working somewhat now. My Sony TV takes awhile to react to functions right after a power on so I added a pause after the discrete ons. Experimenting resulted in about 6 seconds required. It's annoying to have to point the remote that long but I don't know of a solution ...

Thanks mdavej. That was excellent help. I'll go ahead and repair the damage with your recommendations.

How about one more question? In the LKMS hierarchy that vickyg presents in the IR Help document it says
Learned Keys
Keymoves
Macros
take priority in that order. Where do Special Functions fit ...

In the Special Function tab "New" window it insists on a bound device. Does that mean the remote has to be in that device mode to execute the special function when the key is pressed?

Is there a way to always execute a special function with a key regardless of mode?
