JP1 Remotes

I just scored 8 new Nevo C2's ... What a find, i haven't been able to find them for a few years.... The remotes are somehwhat fragile.. They only seem to last me a couple years... So, now I'm stocked up....

First make sure all the "Assist" boxes in the middle of the Activities tab in RMIR are empty. Delete any entries you see there. I had a nevo go bad, and i pulled a new one out and programmed it, and now i have a ASSIST soft button appear when i click an activity that never appeared on my other Nevo.. Its using the same UPload data...

What is up? How do i get rid of that Assist button that i click and everything is greyed ...

How did you fix it? Is it something i can do myself? As it happened to my sons RMIR file too, but i admit, i started within mine as a blueprint, which means i copied the error to my sons remote image.

Well, the the first time i had it happen again on a NON technomate device. It was a vizio tv. I bought my son a NevoC3 for christmas, and i was setting it all up, and had to come back into to make changes here and there, and wam bam it hung up on the layout tab. I saved all of your upgrades as RMDU files, then deleted them from the RMIR file, then proceeded to re-add them all one at a time, and I think I have re-created your RMIR file in such a way that the Technomate upgrade won't give you a problem in the layout tab. I don't believe i use any macros, hence why i didn't notice that. I've noticed other oddities, but they never stopped me from doing what i needed to do.. The LayOutTab has gotten me to skip making updates to that particular device.

I should have reported it long ago.. But, i have SO many projects ...

Ps, yes there are lots of exception errors. Didn't know about that file. The errors mention the layout tab.

The problem ONLY occurs if you load via the RMIR and edit the device. I will gladly send you my .RMIR file.

And only with the Technomate Device. (goto LAYOUT) tab.

I hope you can replicate it. I am a programmer myself, and i understand the importance of being able to duplicate an issue.
