After programming, remote works great. Everything seems to work. Around 30 seconds later, the remote stops responding and double blinks. Basically I turn on all my devices, do a few up and down on menus and arrows, then it stop responding and double blinking. Any ideas? Swapped out batteries twice ...

Programmed on remote, but what do i actually do??? Holding down the button yields no results. What other button do I hold down to make this function work? Thanks for the help.

Let's take a closer look at the reset, is this what you did...

1) Press and hold SETUP, 2 flashes
2) Type 981, 4 flashes?

To re-load a pevious IR file, do this...

1) In IR, go to the Advanced menu
2) Select "Enable unsafe upload"
3) Go to the "General" tab and over to the right is a button ...

Yes, doing a 981 reset on the remote will return it to factory settings. If you want to make the memory nice and clean, you could use the Advanced menu in IR to load all $FFs to the memory, then do the 981 reset.

But in any rate, I've just emailed you a generic file for the 6131.

I don't see anything wrong with the upgrade that you added to your IR file, as it certainly seems to match the RM file, but there is something screwy with the IR file itself. For example, when I click on the VCR/DVD/1642 I get an access violation message.
