Rob, I don't think it is the same problem. I have come across something similar to his problem myself and if I recall correctly, it was an issue with the setup. I always find it fiddly to post screenshots so avoid them if I can. I would rather have his .rmir file and no screenshot that wait for him ...

This soundbar has a mini-remote with 11 buttons. The codes (OBC/EFC) sent by the Prev:Pause:Next buttons change based on the function selected in the remote's LCD screen through using the Menu and Cursor Up/Down buttons

I also agree with pH7_jp1 that the remote is very intuitive once you realise what it is doing. It does mean you need to look at the LCD to select some things, but the frequent use items (Vol, mute, etc) are dedicated buttons
