Do you want to control the receiver volume while watching TV? It appears that you didn't actually setup VPT, but instead just disabled the feature. To control the receiver volume while in TV mode:
1. Tap Audio
2. Press Setup until 2 blinks.

I have managed to use the 993 code for the volume on TV being played though the AVR however I have to press the AUD button on the top.

next I would like some advice on assigning the AVRs HDMI 1-4 please include codes and procedure.

also please recommend a button on the RCA for each HDMI.

Hello entering the 1476 code for power off made the differnce.

1. press AUD. in devices on the top.

2.press & hold setup untill I observe 2 blinks from AUD.

3.press 994

4.press setup

5.press 12485

6.press live button

now I can turn on & off the Yamaha
