Serial to 3.3V ttl as interface?
I have been looking at various posts about interfaces and have a JP1.3 remote. It seems that the interface is basically a serial or usb to 3.3V ttl circuit. Since I have several serial to ttl boards for 3.3V microprocessors is there any reason why these won't work (with the proper connections of ...

15-100 mods for JP1
I have a couple of these. They are great but I never got around to putting in the JP1 connector. Now I need to set a button to toggle which I don't think I can do without the connector. But the thread is so old the pictures of jherrick's mod don't show up. Any way to get those? I tried the wayback ...

Code for GE DVD for 15-100 remote?
I picked up a couple 15-100 and may add the JP1 connector. But for now I am just using the built in codes. I have a DVD player: GE1101PB. I have tried the codes listed (20522, 20815, 20717) but no success. Is it possible that another code would work or do I need to use JP1?

Discrete on/off and input selection Sanyo DS31590?
Looking for discrete codes for on/off and also input selector (tuner or svideo inputs). I have tried using channel +, entering channel numbers. They don't do anything while in direct video input mode. It also remembers what input was selected through power off/on cycles so I can't get to a known ...

Re: Toggle functions - how to stay in sync?
I don't really see how to do it without some method whereby the remote can sense the state of your equipment. I have built 2 systems that are state sensing and I never even considered to put that into the remote. Using a PC to do the state sensing, is the equivalent of swatting a fly with a cannon ...

Toggle functions - how to stay in sync?
I am wanting to make the remote easier to use for improved WAF. My idea is to make each device button sent codes to set up other devices properly. For example, to play a DVD the DVD needs to be on, the TV needs to be on and the TV needs to be using the svideo input. All these are toggle functions so ...
