Thanks guys. So, you're saying that there is really no way to avoid an out-of-sync state. Just different way to fix it.

I've been reading and, as usual, it created more questions. My toadtogs for on and off involve two keymoves, one for each. Should there be another keymove to track the device's ...

No thoughts on this one? My toadtogs are really finiky. Yesterday the TV and RCVR were on. I hit Power which sends discrete off commands to everything (VCR and DVD and TV are Toadtogs). It turned off the TV and RCVR, but turned on the VCR. Repeated the event and it worked as designed. Funky!

I'm using IR 5.0.0 and no luck, but I'm looking forward to the next version :)

Strange behavior (uploads results and discrete functions)

I've uploaded my file here

I have problems with results after uploads. It may be a cable issue, but see what you think. First, if my batteries are brand new, I have to have them all in to upload. When they die a bit, I have to remove one to upload.

Second, often after an upload, some functions ...

Most likely what is happening is that on the copy and paste the CR/LF is not coming over. That is common when copying from text type field.

Since the grids were already "stringgrids" I could not use anything else for the last field.

I'll type them all manually and see what happens.

I'm not sure ...

As I said in the post in the Extenders section, after opening the file in IR I have to expand the row to see any second line of notes. That's only an inconvenience. The real problem is often the second line of notes are gone. It's not consistent though. Some second lines are there, others are not ...

While the TV requires the longest pauses, some other equipment (RCVR) also require pauses longer than just calling one unused key. This extender is very fast.

Having to expand the rows to see the notes is simply an inconvenience. The real problem is, the program doesn't save the second line of ...

It's not that I have to call the pause keymove several times for one device. I have to call it for several devices. For each device in the keymove I call the pause at least once and each call is two entries in the LKP. With the macro, there is only one entry per call. Clear as mud?

I have not ...

Davec:

Look at macros L1 and L2 in paul6910ext.txt these do what you want. However read below some of the issues I've had..

I studied those and tried them. My problem is the number of codes allowed in my LPK. I'm maxed out, so calling the device and then the key was not an option.

I have a ...

Thanks jonsfine. I was wondering if it was a code problem or just a choice made in the beginning of development. Looks like a little of both.

command limits for LKP in Special Protocol Builder

Just curoius why there are only 7 potential commands on the Short Press, but 12 on the Long Press. I was thinking about reversing my LKP, but ran into that problem.

User friendly suggestions for IR

First let me say that you guys are amazing! Thank you for sharing your passion and knowledge. Here's a few suggestions if they can be implemented.

The Notes on the Keymoves and Macros worksheets allow you to put in two lines of text (good for LKP), but when re-opened, the row does not open expanded ...
