Hi All,

Just bought a URC-7960 from Amazon UK.

After reading through this thread I've ordered a JP1.x cable, but just need to know what software I need to download and anything that is still not working.

I can then help with testing if required.

Thanks

John

Any chance there will be Vista drivers for the USB JP1 lead any time soon?

Cheers

Thanks for the reply Johnsfine.

Yes I did mean 8910. (apaologies)

I agree it would be a bit of a risk if the code is only output once.

But I think the code would be capturable as I'm guessing the function of the chip would be to limit the remote to one transmission, rather than make the code ...

Panasonic DVD Recorder Region Hack Help

I have just recently bought a Panasonic DMR-E55 DVD Recorder.

This isn't multi region out of the box. But I have found out that there is a remote hack for this.

http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=137879

The problem is that the hack requires a specially chiped remote aparently.
These ...

Isn't the 9600 a Kameleon? Different keys light up for different devices on that if I'm correct.

Could an extender we written to achieve this Mark?

Has anyone written a guide for using the device combiner?

Only I'm a little bit confused by what it does and doesn't do and it's methodology.

Thanks

Cheers Rob. (so basically every button describes with lower case letters requires "" while upper case doesn't. As I knoe little of programming I won't ask.

I'll give em a try.

I got your method to work now. Pressing the "Magic" key then "enter"now gives me access to @AUX2. Great. I think these ...

I've tried using keymoves but unfortunatly there seems to be a bug in IR where it seems to select the wrong key. If I choose say the "20" key it will assign the keymove to ")" which isn't even a key but part of a description for another key "keyname"(T8). There are some errors in the RDF file for ...

Thanks Rob- I'll try pressing the "Magic" key instead of the "Shift" key.

Will this then move the key to say "shift""2" or "Magic""2"?

Thanks Mike - I'll have a go at editing my copy of the RDF.

I'm off to try again. :)

Assigning a second device to the shifted keys of an existing

I couldn't find any info on this on the forum but it must have been mentioned before. I'd be grateful if someone could help.

I have created an separate upgrades for both my TV and projector. Both work fine. I only have 5 buttons on my Topline 5 and to save space would like to move the projector ...

Thanks for the reply gjarboni.

So I'd probably have to set my projector as AUX.

Thanks for the offer of purchasing my Topline 5 but I'm going to use it to experiment/learn JP1 with. You would'nt want it anyway as it's seen better days, some of the silver paint has worn off the back and as ...

Wow Quick reply

Thanks Rob

So i theory I should also be able to use the Sanyo PLV-Z1 projector file downloaded from the Yahoo site and call the function "PROJ".

That's great, I'm gonna have so much fun learning JP1.

Only thing is now I'm starting to think 5 devices are quite limiting. I've seen ...

Topline 5 DVD Functionality

BTW, since the Topline 5 and the Topline 8 are the same internally (just a different number of physical button), you could just download from your 5 and upload to your 8 as a starting point. That way you wouldn't have to redo anything.

I have a Topline 5, which can't operate DVD players ...
