Re: ir widget time mode save inconsistency: "nothing to

Whoops. I didn't get that. What do you use time mode for?

In general I think JP1 people are only (and probably should only be) using Count mode.

Time mode is from older (and probably home made widgets). It uses an IR demodulator which can pick up signals over longer distances, but can't figure ...

Sorry I meant to mention I only tested this with IRScope 2.01.

Thanks for your reply. Sorry if I cause any confusion, I was pointing out a bug related to the rarely used IR widget time mode. It all works as expected in IR Widget Count mode, the default.

ir widget time mode save inconsistency: "nothing to sav

I know the timing modes are deprecated, but I'm posting this as a minor FYI for anyone who might come across this:

After capturing a signal in IR Widget Time mode, IRScope won't allow the signal to be manually saved, an error pop-up says "Nothing to save".

However, if auto save of .ict files is ...

I'm considering trying to add support to IRscope for reading timings from the USB IR toy device.

Don't do that. An IR demod module is not suitable for analysis of IR transmissions. The timing is inaccurate and inconsistant, and the carrier frequency unknown. The IR widget allows use of a demod ...

Would you ever consider hosting the IRscope code on a public source code repository like sourceforge, google code, github?
See the previous sentence: it is publicly available, that is how you have it. What more do you want?

I'm using the IRscope 2.01 Beta 3 binaries that you posted. I have the ...

IR widget, count vs. time mode.

Is IRscope 2.x ok to use input where the carrier has already been removed from an IR decoder or does it need to see the carrier?
In "IR Widget Count" mode, the one normally used with the Widget, the hardware needs to see the carrier. I understand that "IR Widget Time" mode is for use with ...

Successfully using IRscope (manual import of timing string)

I see one of the import file types is a timing related format that sounds somewhat generic. Any place I can see a sample of what that file should look like or a description?
Look at the screenshot at the top of this thread. The lines of numbers with alternate + and - signs are in a format ...

Re: Automated analysis of IR protocols

Finally, it is not necessary to have a Widget in order to use this analysis as IRScope now has the ability to import signals in either Pronto or UEI Learned forms.

This is very interesting stuff. I'd like to be able to use it but don't have an IR widget or pronto. Where can I find out more about ...
