Entered the 0054 code and re-keyed to 044 as suggested. Unfortunately, no go on power or any other function.

Same deal with 1254. And 1351 was not accepted by the remote (only 1 long blink vs 2 short blinks).

As noted above, the Motorola DVR question has been answered, so now I just need some help with getting the Viewsonic to work. I know the 6131 is just a cheap remote but I really like it alot, I hope I can get it working.

For the TV, have you tried the code search? The 6131n is a bit old, and may not support some newer TV's without adding JP1 to it (involves adding memory chip and 6-pin connector.)
