Anyone have any ideas? Anything I can try to help figure out why it's not working? Thanks.

John

OK I tried using the device combiner and it's not working, so I posted the file ShowStopper_rev8 in the diagnosis area.

In KM I set up the following:

Remote = Replay Remote
Device Type = TV

While I'm working on getting Device Combiner to work can you tell me where to find info on the Device Multiplexor and the Device Toggler. I've been through all the readme and help files and haven't seen them mentioned. Are they specific funtions under one of the other protocols?

John

You could create two ReplayTV upgrades, one with the regular numeric buttons and the other with the jump buttons you described, then you could use either the Device Multiplexor or the Device Toggler to switch between them. That would mean you are just using the Replay device button for Replay, and ...

Are you sure about Main Device = 134 (or is it a typo)?. Both the NAD files in the Audio folder use Main Device = 135 , Sub Device = 124.
OK Thanks, that was the problem. Not sure why I put in 134 as I had 135 written down on the piece of paper. Doh!

I also got the power, video select and pic ...

I'm having problems with a device upgrade. Below is what KM generated for the extensions for my NAD receiver.

Upgrade Code 0 = 17 CF (TV/1999)
5A 00 D1 20 9E C1 00 BC FC 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
EE CE D6 5B
End

Here is the info I put into KM:

Remote = Replay Remote
Device type = TV
Setup code ...

First, please explain why you need to use 2 device buttons for Replay.
Since I hardly ever use the number key section when watching Replay I'd like to program the 3 key to be 2 minute skip, 6 key for 1 minute skip, 9 key as 30 sec skip (same as the quick skip), 1 key as 2 minute rewind, 4 key as 1 ...

This is where I need more help. If I keep 2 device buttons for ReplayTV then do I need to use the device combiner? Or do I just create a new device which is a combo of the TV and NAD, and put the functions on the keys I want? Also more details on how to get the 1/2 minute skip to work would be great ...

OK, been playing around a bit more with KM & IR and trying different things. Since the ReplayTV remote is my favorite of the bunch (probably just had it for so long I know where all the buttons are by feel) I'd like to see if I can do the following.

1. I looked at the JP1 forum and got the ReplayTV ...

OK, I downloaded KM read through your instructions and I got similar results except for the number in () below. I did learn the 3 functions into my 8810W and brought that up in IR to verify that the EFC, protocol, device and subdevice were all correct and they are.

Upgrade Code 0 = 37 CF (Tuner ...

OK, the first thing I did was save my original image on both the ShowStopper and 8810W just in case. The code I put in the 8810W for the NAD is 0320. On the 8810W under the devices tab there is nothing, but the ShowStopper has 6 VCRs, 1 cable, 1 TV and the OEM code. Since there are no devices in the ...

How about this question. I'm taking baby steps and would just like to get the ShowStopper remote Vol+/Vol-/Mute to control my NAD receiver's volume/mute. If I go in under device on the ShowStopper it shows the vol+/vol-/mute (shows up on key # 11,12 & 13) as unmapped. There are 5 bytes of fixed data ...

OK, got another question. I don't have the manual for the original ShowStopper remote, so I'm wondering how you program the cable, sat, vcr buttons? There is the code set button on top of those 3, so do you hit the button you want to program, then code set, the enter some code and finally hit the ...

OK, I figured out the problem. Under set RDF path, I was single clicking the directory so it was highlighted, and then clicked OK. This is fine for most programs, but IR needs you to double click the directory and then click OK. Stupid mistake I guess.

I tried both ways and nothing shows up under the general section. You are correct that I just got a 8810W and same thing with that remote. I did check the raw data and it is different for each remote. I don't get all the other keys that show up in the tutorial either (key moves, macros, etc)
