Vicky,
As I posted earlier in this thread, I also have a S90D. It is model QN77S90DAFXZA, with software T-PTMDAKUC-1301.1.

The Discrete Off IR command does work for us. I wonder if the firmware in your TV was up to date when you did the testing.

I was simply correcting the erroneous idea that the pins are labeled along a row. Go to the link in my first post and scroll down to the fourth group of photos. That shows an exact drawing of the pinout. All JP1 remotes with 6 pin headers have the same pinout. Don't worry about which revision you ...

See the first post in http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=16360

Here's some of the info in that post:
Pinout is
1-3-5
2-4-6.

Pin 1 should not be connected.
Pin 2 connects to RTS
Pin 3 connects to Ground
Pin 4 connects to TXD
Pin 5 should not be connected
Pin 6 Connects to RXD

We ...

Vicky,
We recently bought a S90D, and I've used your upgrade. Ours does respond to Discrete Off (your notes say that yours does not). Our S90D is model QN77S90DAFXZA, with software T-PTMDAKUC-1301.1. Ours updated the software automatically, but I see that is an option. Discrete Power functions are ...

I'll check on this tonight. However, in the first post of this thread the OP used GetSigBlk in JP2Sniffer, and the return was 00 40 00 DF 0F 00 00 00 A0 32 36 30 32 30 31 FF FF FF FF F.....
So definitely the remote used by the OP has signature 260201. I probably just made a typo.

UR5U-8780L-TWC is a remote made by URC, while JP1 remotes are made UEI. I'm not aware of any openly available software to program URC remotes.

Well, the patch dates back to 2015, when the details of the MAX610 processor were familiar to me. I took a look yesterday and realized that I would need to spend quite a bit of time just to understand how the patch works. And it may turn out to be quite dificult to change the behavior. So I'm ...

If the desired behavior is that these two buttons send no signal when inadvertently pressed, then I suppose one way of achieving that is to include a pause protocol in your RMIR file and keymove it to the two buttons.

The original NEC IC that sent the original NEC protocol were called UPD6122 and other similar numbers. Of course, the protocol has been subsequently generalized to not require complements, so the duration of the signals isn't constant anymore.

Internal pictures of the URC-7966 are available at https://device.report/fccid/mg3-117966
I don't see a JP1 6 pin header, so it seems to confirm what gneville found.

I looked in SourceForge, and the change occurred between 2.12.8 and 2.13.0. The only difference even for 3.0.15 is the processor type, so Graham could just restore the 2.12.8 version. I think the extender version of this RDF also needs to be restored.

The picture of the brown side of the PCB has pin 1 labeled. It is top right in that picture, so it will be top left in the green side pictures, just as mathdon had deduced.

Since pin 2 goes to the processor and the common connection for the transport keys I don't understand what you mean, but I suppose that you are looking at more than we can see in the uploaded image. Can you take images of the whole board (both sides) and also of the hole in the case where you are ...

JP1.4 and JP2 remotes don't use the "break" mechanism to initate programming mode. Instead after reset, the processor listens for 4 specific characters, and if they are received the remote enters programming mode. If the specific characters are not received, the remote begins normal operation.

The ...
