Thanks. I found one extender for 6131, I presume that it would work for both the real old, and the old one.

Do you know if installing the extender is something that can be reversed?

So I learned the codes from the MCE remote instead. They show up as OrtekMCE protocol after I download from the remote. However, I cannot find such a protocol in RM IR, so I can build an upgrade. Any ideas?

I have been happily using 6131(n) remotes for years. However, I have a need for a similar remote, or smaller one, with back lighting for basement use. I have been using the 8910, but it is too bulky given that I only need to control 3 devices. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I sent in two 6131n remotes, and they sent me back two older ones (6131) because they do not have 6131n anymore. They work just fine.
