After repairing a couple of remotes years ago I finally decided that it wasn't anywhere close to being worth the effort. As cheap as new learning remotes are just buy a few more. That's my take anyway.

Hi,

I am starting to believe in your position.

But do not consider Logitech remotes as the ...

Don't throw away your wonderful RCA RCU810 Remotes.

I think that I have found a solution but more testing is needed.

RCA RCU810 Keypad Repair Keeps Failing.

Hi,

I have four RCA RCU810 Remotes, the last one is rapidly becoming unusable.

I have been attempting keypad repairs for many years now, all with poor or worthless results. None lasting more than a few days.

The plastic used for the keypad is a very strange vinyl type plastic.

Nothing seems to ...

The documentation that is with the extenders will be the most current. The only thing the extender instructions don't cover is how you can now use extinstall from within IR instead of batch mode and that is pretty straight forward.

The RDF's in the extender packages are pretty old so use the ...

IR 6.x Extender Instructions Where?

Hi,

I have been looking for the Instructions for IR as to using extenders.

I have found words that say "look at the the Extender Package for instructions".

The extender package for the RCA RCU810 contains old RDF files and a different extender program perhaps than the one referenced in what ...

Well thanks for the replies. I will try some more and wait for some updates, hoping it will work, or hoping I will find what I am doing wrong.

I got the same problem but I was able to download from my RCU810 after charging the remotes NiMH batteries.

I have stop-ed using NiCd batteries ...

I understand. The file IS encrypted. The various codes posted here and there are not copyright able.

A "Collection" like those in a particular remote ARE copyright able.

I thus cancel my request. Thanks.

If you can view the sheet called "Setup", that's all you need. What I don't know is whether the lookup functions that populate the fields on "Setup" will work with the viewer.

"Devices4.xls" reading a problem for me.

Hi,

About a year ago I discovered JP1. As I seemed not to be able to walk into my electronics room and grab the parts for an interface and put them together, I ordered and received a completed USB JP1 which works great. :D

I selected Remote Master instead of KM as I do not have Excel.

IR, RM are ...
