Is there a simple one-device JP1 remote control?

As time passes, I realize that I don't need a remove that controls multiple devices and is cluttered up with tiny buttons.

I'd like a remote that just handles a TV with buttons for is on-off, volume up-down, channel up-down, and a few buttons I could program to jump to particular channels.

Mine had no pins for the JP1 connector, but it did have holes. So I hammered in toothpicks. Look for a new posting "remote not found"......

I changed that "Param E" to 7 in the file as you mentioned - and now everything works! Thank you. (It's always the littlest overlooked thing that causes the greatest difficulty.)

Sorry for the delay in responding. Unfortunately the upgrade did not work. The file that was already posted for this some time ago DID work. I'm going to take a closer look when I can break some more time free. I suspect that my JP1 cable passed a bad bit. The fixed data value is different.

Thanks for the links. At least my panel lights are still OK (knock on wood).

I haven't replaced the battery, the battery mounting is a bit different on my model. Maybe I'll scrounge a battery holder off of an old PC motherboard and give it a try.

(I loved my local Radio Shack. Now everything ...

Sony ST-JX220 AM/FM Tuner

I'm posting this because the one "fix" for this component does not appear to be available elsewhere.

The Sony ST-JX220 AM/FM tuner is a digital AM/FM tuner, intended to feed into a separate amplifier.

The memory "keep alive" battery is hardwired to the circuit board. After the battery dies ...

Need help creating RMDU file for Samsung Blue Ray BD-JM57C

I used my learning remote to identify all of the signals, now I'd like to create the RMDU.

When I open the file in RMIR, it retitles the buttons according to what is available on the remote. I would like to preserve the titles of the buttons on the original remote in the RMDU file.

Here is what I ...

The 3FG file worked fine, it was only missing a few buttons. See the list below for all of the buttons learned from the original remote (list presented as comma-separated variables).

The instructions for the colored buttons (red, green, yellow blue) state that they are not used for this particular ...

Thank you. I will have to try those codes and file. It will take a while, but I will report back.

When I mentioned that my old (Kamelion) remote could not decipher the signals, I meant that, when I tried to capture any signal from the OEM remote, the Kamelion would respond with a long blink ...

It is hard to explain, but very intuitive if you are actually doing it. I'll give it a shot:

Starting at the normal TV viewing mode, press the menu key to enter a top menu with four categories (Picture Settings, Audio Settings, TV Settings, Other Function Settings). You use the right-left arrow ...

20DL74 Toshiba Television

I finally screwed my courage to the sticking point and did a brute force EFC search for my Toshiba 20DL74 LCD television. Here are all of the codes which I found. They correspond 1:1 with the buttons on the manufacturer's remote, there were no hidden codes:

These codes should also work for Toshiba ...
