To sum things up, I got my 15-100 working (issuing LG codes which included new codes made up by LG way after the creation of this 15-100 remote). My take away is to not assume anything. Make sure to follow the most recent Remote Master instructions. Short cuts that appear logical may not have been ...

Ah!

Even if you launch RMIR but ask it to load a *.rmdu file it will launch RMDU w/o an "OK" key on the Layout tab!

That may have been covered in the above referenced web page, but was not obvious to me.

So, I am now launching RMIR and loading an *.rmir file. Then I go to the RMIR Devices tab ...

Added later...

Looks like v2.13.0 just got added (about July 17th 2:00pm UTC). I've downloaded it and I still do not get the bottom row of button in the RMDU application. I am looking to use the "OK" button specifically.

I think I've found a problem (my problem??). In the web page you referred me to there is this text:
Once you are done assign the buttons as you like, click 'Ok'.
...and I can see in the graphics there on that web page there is an "OK" button. But I, even after expanding the RMDU window to the ...

Sorry to ask this... I'm sure the correct answer is only a few clicks away... But in RMIR under the GENERAL tab I do not see a way to set the TV device button. Hopefully I'm in the correct place in the correct application.

Yes, I got as many things working as I could before coming here. Built an FTDI cable adapter, installed RMIR & RMDU and read data from the 15-100 to a file on my computer,

So, after reading your post...

I found files w/nearly the same model number as my LG TV. Started RMIR and loaded that file ...

Trying to program a JP1.3 and feeling lost ...

Hi,

I am trying to add a few missing buttons to my 15-100 remote. Off-the-shelf it can be programmed w/o a computer to control an LG TV just fine. But I have no access to newer feature like internet applications because certain LG buttons (remote codes) don't appear to be part of the 15-100's ...

Cool, then off to the AVS forums I'll go....

V4L is video4linux. This group of developers support all types of video hardware for the linux OS.

The "use 1000 code" is posted in threads here (if I am thinking straight today). But on the download page here (for the pre-made ReplayTV files) for the ...

Hi...

Is there anyone who has done this (added IR codes from the JP1 site to a Replaytv 5000 to control a Set Top Box) that frequents this forum?

I was looking for descriptions of what to expect.

I read this on the V4L list and it captures the general idea of support:
Developers are in short ...

Just FYI, for those like me that were wondering what a DTT-901 is, it's an "LG Insignia/Zenith DTT900 Digital Converter Box".

From the looks of it, people here have this set up working. I just wanted to know what to expect so I could start to de-bug my equipment (i.e. changing channels while ...

What to expect (ReplayTV5040 & DTT-901)

Hi...

I've been trying to control a DTT-901 from my Replay 5040 and have had no luck. At worst, I'm using the wrong IR dongle.

So, what can I expect during testing?

Is there a way to determine if the new DTT-901 codes have been installed into the ReplayTV5040?

Why do most HOWTOs say to use ...

There are now three versions of the Delcom driver for JP1 USB cables in the file section :

1) This is the 10/19/2006 version from the DIYgadget.com site:

I downloaded all three and tried the oldest one first. That work ...

Unfortunately the Delcom drivers are very hit and miss. Search this forum and you'll see. Only THIS older version works for me. Some have better luck with the latest ones from Delcom's site. You can download another old version from DIYGadget.

Well, in defence of Delcom (actually, I really don't ...

Hi...

Yeas ago, I programmed my radio shack 15-1994 with a home made parallel port JP1 cable. Now, I am using Tom's JP1.0 cable. When I tried to download from the remote (would like to start where I left off) I get a pop-up error:

"It appears that the interface failed midway into the operation ...

Hi all...

I'm going to chalk up my TV problems to pilot error (the PIP OFF key is associated w/device 164, not 1) and not finding the correct rmdu file for my TV (it was over at yahoo still, there's now a copy here at hifi-remote.com as well).

The shift key feature (pressing then releasing the ...
