Re: Actual OneForAll Smart Control Pro Remotes (URC 7981 / URC 7985) useable with RemoteMaster

As you know, there are two possible ways for RMIR to interact with the URC-7981. One is with Bluetooth, the other is with the 6-pin connector. Both present considerable problems. The Bluetooth access is designed for use with the OfA Advanced Setup phone app, not for general Bluetooth access, and ...

Re: Actual OneForAll Smart Control Pro Remotes (URC 7981 / URC 7985) useable with RemoteMaster

I have installed the OFA Advanced app on my Android phone and will get a URC 7981 so that I can investigate this. It looks identical to the URC 7980, which I have. However, the 7980 is not supported by the OFA Advanced app but it does have the 6-pin connector fitted. I do not like either soldering ...

Re: RM: Inconsistent upgrade

Please try development build RMIR v3.2.13 which I have just posted in the RMIR Development folder on SourceForge. I think this should solve the issue.

Re: RMIR Xsight Support

Apologies for not dealing with this sooner, but I have been absent from the forum while recovering from a broken pelvis. I have now posted development build 12 in the RMIR Development folder on SourceForge which is my best attempt to resolve the problem. Here is an explanation.

The Receiver Power ...

Randy, I cannot reproduce this. On pressing OK, protocol remains NEC1 134.5. Nothing I try changes this to NEC1 0. Can you please post the URC-3660 .rmir file that you are adding this upgrade to, and possibly the URC-3660 RDF in case yours differs from mine for some reason?

When this forum disappears, I will continue to maintain RMIR on SourceForge and will start to monitor Tickets, which I do not do at present. That will provide a route for discussion of RMIR-related issues.

I have posted development version RMIR v3.2.10 in the RMIR Development folder on SourceForge.

@Randy
This should fix your latest bug report.

@CyberSimian
This build should load your file Sony Scala 2 System (0).rmdu without error, and if you save the resulting load then it should omit the line ...

@Barf

There are already two Help entries with links to the current RMIR version. Help > Home page has a prominent link at the top, Help > Check for updates gives a link when the user's version is earlier than the current one. I do not want to put a Help link to development versions. I feel that ...

I don't understand the question. What do you mean by "away from the computer"?

Re: RMIR v3.2 Major new release!

However when trying File > New > Remote Image. and selecting the new replacement remotes that you recently added such as the URC-4910 and the others I notice something odd. When i try and add a Real-time Macro the bound key list of app 1 2 3 repeats itself several times.
Is this due to it actually ...

Randy, I have now posted development build RMIR v3.2.9 in the usual place. I have delayed posting this till now in case anything further cropped up to add to it, but nothing has. This should fix the issues you identified with v3.2.8. I would be grateful if you could check this and report back.

Not crazy :) . Thanks for spotting this, it was an unintended consequence of a minor change I made in v3.2.0. Fixed now for next build, subject to further testing.

It is neither recommended nor not recommended, it is simply unnecessary and of no significance. Multiple Java versions can exist simultaneously, they do not interfere with one another. You can uninstall one you never intend to use ...
