I think there's a mistake in discrete ON and OFF codes (they should be AE and 6E rather than BE and 7E).
Apart from this, is there any information available about how to use service menus?

There aren't any discrete inputs in our LG files, but now that you've found a way to test all 256 codes, if you do find any discretes (or anything else) please report back so I can include the codes in the master file.

there was a guy a while back on the iPhone boards talking about an app and some hardware that does this for an iPhone. I think he named it iCouchPotato or some such.
yes, I'm in touch with him (actually I wouldn't have been able to complete my project without his help!)

If the wav file is at 38Khz (38000 Hz), then you would want only one LED.
I don't know why the design you found had two LEDs in opposite directions. Depending on the voltage range of the signal, two LEDs might serve to double the resulting frequency, or two LEDs might just act like one (the one in ...

Re: WinLIRC generated raw codes to pronto discrete format
What are you using the LIRC file for? Why did you want raw mode (for most purposes it is less effective)?
I just figured out how to turn my cellphone into a remote control just by connecting an IR led to its headset port. 8-)
I have just to play a properly formatted WAV file, and this will ...

Turning a cellphone into remote control
Hi,
I'm quite new to "infrared world".
I spent last two weeks experimenting with remotes, circuits, leds, lirc, cellphones...
I ended up in a very interesting result:
i was able to turn my nokia 6680 into a remote control... even if the phone does NOT have IR capabilities!! 8-)
It was possible ...

Re: WinLIRC generated raw codes to pronto discrete format
LIRC does not generate any Pronto codes. It is fairly difficult for someone who isn't an IR expert to translate from meaningful LIRC data to Pronto Hex. I don't know of any program for doing so. You have the extra problem that your LIRC data doesn't seem to be correct.
