Dear mdavej

thanks for the comment - I was just surprised that the protocol is not already in the remote since I thought URC would update their remotes on a regular basis and a Samsung protocol is something quite "normal"

By the way, are there any release notes to the RM for the new versions ...

Samsung36 Protocoll

Hi,

I have a Samsung remote with Samsung36 protocoll and would like to make the output for IR with RM 1.86.

However RM 1.86 does not have the Samsung36 protocoll.

I already added the Samsung36 Protocol from Maldev manually in the Protocol.ini file - that works fine.

Thanks very much!

I mean that the remote should represent a high-class equipment.
eg some kind of stylish design, high-gloss surface, even aluminium like finish is fine, have some - even additional - weight

But as I learned from remote-central, there is none for that price.

So I will have to pay more - I ...

Which remote is easy to be used by elderly and valuable

Hi

I am looking for a remote that is easy to be used by elderly people - it should have good size buttons, a good touch and feel when pressing the buttons, easy to be used (no screen oder touch screen) and of above average design and quality. ANd ideally also backlight option. Programmable for ...

To simplify the search for codes...

is there an easier way than programming the remote with a set of about 15 codes and then try them?

eg. can one have the remote try codes from x to y automatically, similar to the search for the power button?

Yes this is what I have done, these discrete codes are from the files I found.

Unfortunately, but they dont work for my Plasma TV

I guess I just have to try all 255 codes when I have time....

I learned several buttons.

Protocol is always Panasonic with device 128

Subdevice is 0 or 4

Therefore I thought the codes I found :176, 177, 124,125 would work on Subdevice 4 - but no luck!

Probably there is no descrete code after all?

Thank you so much.

I tried all codes to find the dicrete input of my Panasonic PV500E.

But non worked. To be sure that the parameters are correct I tried the aspect code OBC 222. That was OK.

So I guess there is no discrete code for my Panasonic.

But at least I have an idea now on how to convert ...

Looking for discretes for Panasonic plasma TV

Hello,

I would like to try some of the discrete codes in the file section with my Pronto. So far I just learned the codes from the original remotes into the Pronto.

There I have two questions:

1.
How do I get the codes from here, that is RMDU or text - format (eg codes given in OBC, main and sub ...

Hi again,

first thanks very much for the quick reply!

the reason why I would like to have this program is that my parents (and some of their friends) are now using a remote that I prepared. Since they plan to change some of their devices in the near future (eg DVD player and receiver - but did not ...
