I wanted to have everything to setup a device at one place and not splitted between KM and IR. I found it more logical to build a complete device in KM with all device functions defined. For me IR is only a vehicle setup the macros and to upload.

And I don't think the RM has to go so far (for now ...

Hi,

this all would be no problem if the checks regarding protocols wouldn't be so strict and if there would be a possibilty to set the protocol code for the combiner devices manually like in KM. May be this all could be fixed by entering a few lines in protocol.ini.

Problems with import of KM file to RM

Hi,

I thought I try the new RM and import some of my KM files. But it didn't work as expected. I use the 2k-version of the 7541 and it seems to be that RM has problems with the ToadTog protocol 0180.

Hi Jon,

sorry but the programming doesn't work.

I have set the Aux device button to cable/1776 and added protocol and device. There is absolutely no reaction on the commands.

Thanks,
Emil

Code for remote controlled ceiling fan Encon International

Hi,

I got a new ceiling fan with infrared remote control and would like to control it with my URC-7541. I lerned it into my Pronto and used DecodeCCF with current dll to get the proper code, but the codes are not decoded. The Pronto works fine.

The output looks like:
0000 0066 0000 0019 0018 0047 ...

Hi Mark,

I am pretty sure that everything is enabled. I had an older version of KM master (v8.12) running without problems. I installed and used this version long time ago, but cannot remember whether I have changed anything.

But I fixed this problem by storing the KM file after I pressed ok. It ...

Hi Nils,

is there any reason for this "bump"? ;)

I didn't have time to implement everything I wanted yet, but that what I have implemented works fine.

Cheers,

Hi Nils,

yesterday I could do a test with both variants:
1. Doubling discrete code for screen up on short keypress
This worked without any problem.

2. Testing with light on/off
Here I had the same problem.

It seems to me that the command issued with the long keypress multiple times blocks the IR ...

Just another idea:

If you can keep track about the current screen you could send different IR commands depending on what screen you currently are. It should be possible to do this with ToadTog. Better would be a protocol like I have proposed it for the scan functionality.

The buttons may be mapped to the transport by default, but the names are at least available as phantom keys in KM. You should be free to assign this phantom keys to any physical key you like.
