In that case, let me tweek the code a little bit to keep it small. In the following upgrade, the numeric buttons all perform a delay than send the focus/shutter command and the POWER button performs the standard instant shutter command.

There's several upgrades in the file section here for Philips DVD's. One of them might work for you.

If you still have the original remote for the DVD player, you can teach the functions that do not work and then download from the remote to IR. In the "Learned Signal" tab, you will see functions you taught and get the info (Protocol, Device, Subdevice, and OBC) you need to modify or make a new ...

Need a bit of help urc-7550 and philips dvdr890

I have learned a lot from this forum and managed to make a jp1 and can now upgrade my one4all urc-7550. The problem is that although I can find some philips dvd device codes from the yahoo group, there isn't one for my dvdr890. I've tried using the device codes for the other philips dvd recorders ...

This may help some.

Go into your bios settings,

Set your parallel port mode to "normal".

In my case, it was "ECP" and the JP1 didn't work.
