Rob, how about posting a final message at avs remote forum? Or start official Jp1 thread in that forum? If you do start a new forum maybe you allow contributions in yearly or month fee. I pay a yearly fee at TiVo community and AVS Forum.

Going back almost thirty years oem and universal remotes have had the wrong protocol for Samsung tv's. Resulting in non-repeating volume commands. UEI finally came up with corrected preset code TV 0702. Later the standard UEi code for Samsung tv's was TV 0812. It took TiVo remotes like 10 years to ...

I hate that. Anyways I can answer the op question can you have two onn oem remotes paired to same device and the answer is NO! Tried it on both first generation $19.99 Onn streamer and second generation too, it didn't work on either. One remote replaced the other.

I have used the Inteset IReTV on the Onn streamer. It uses the same Xbox 360 IR code.

Is this urc-8820 black with white and color keys? Or silver with black keys?

After the bad learns, factory reset the remote:

1. press and hold the TV POWER button and the Back button.
The Ring should blink yellow twice

2. Press Options, REPLAY and HOME consecutively, the ring should blink RED 4 times

There is hole in shell of the S-VHS tape to tell a S-VHS vcr that it is a S-VHS tape. Cover this hole with electrical tape to trick it into thinking it's regular tape.

Yes, I have this remote, it doesn't have pins. And it doesn't accept advanced codes on the remote itself. It's a piece of junk. That screw is a pain in the neck.

I was wondering if this was coming from jp1 remote, and maybe in the past you programmed the play command as discrete on to switch to roku?
