Learned all the EFC's from the original remote and IR shows the following for the Left Arrow Function:
Protocol: RECS80
Device: 4
Sub-Device: blank
OBC: 33
Hex Cmd: 78
EFC: 209
Misc: T=0 (158/5072/7608)
I am using KM for the upgrade and the RECS80 apparently has 3 types: 45, 68, 90. none of which ...

questions on macro and shift
1. from within the add macro dialogue box in IR, how do i setup a macro for a shift on a number key? at the top, there is a box to the right of the select bound key box and in the key entry box at the bottom, there is a command to add shift, and another to ins shift?

thanks Rob. So when you say "device code" you mean whether it's 1-15 (for the 8910 and the 2116 in the IR) not the EFC's? right?

1. i tried that on the 8910 and the 2116 with no success-the VCR wins out on those buttons.
