When I connect it, it simply powers on (with ablank screen) and stays on with a blank screen.

I bought it from the DIYgadget.

Is there anyway to double check that it's the cable and not the remote? Could it be anything else? Can I repair it?

Yes. I've tried those combinations.

Related? question: Should the remote be powered (turned on, the display lit up,...) when I connect the JP1 cable? My 9910 turns on automatically and stays on while it's plugged in as long as there are batteries in (in the starndard configuration).

Hook me up.

Rob, could I get one of those PCI cards from you? What are the details? I already bought a simple JP-1 cable with a parallel port connector so I need something that works with that. Can you hook me up?

Thanks.

Am I correct in assuming that using JP-1, I don't have to worry about memory issues that come up when using the remote as is (the standard learning methods)?

Greeeeen noob. Is this going to be worth it?

Hi. I just stumbled on your guys' forum tonight (looking for a remote that will handle ALL the functions of my new projector (Mitsubishi HD1000U), stereo equipment, xbox 360, and whatever else I feel like :)

I am thinking of getting the URC 9910, in fact I will likely get it even if I don't dive ...
