Will take it apart and see whats inside

Thanks for the response in regard to the guide remote. I will try to take it apart over the next week or so ( time permitting) and note the main components inside.As i mentioned in the original post , it was nice to have the guide remote around for the wife to read through the available movies ...

Guide Remote from Radio Shack

Has anyone played around with any of the "Guide Remotes" from Radio Shack?
I had used it faithfully in the past , but the site is no longer active for updating it.
There is a single row of pads that look like it needs "poggo pin" connector to program.

I have worked with the Xantech product and you should be compatible using 3 of the 4 conductors available on the IR receiver . The status conductor will not be used in your case. The filter to block the IR light from the plasma is important as I have had problems in the past using Xantech receivers ...
