it involved soldering. But this is only needed if you get no ground connection on the normal pins.

I have no problems with the "parallel JP1 simple interface cable" and my 7562.

To use it from my laptop, I had to connect the metal outside of the parallel port connector to the ground pins.

I have the same problem with the RDF from the RDF distribution.

The RDF bundled with the extender works OK.

And I also would like to now what the 'Menu' selection is used for.
