Sorry it has taken me so long to reply.

Incidentally, I reprogrammed it and haven't had the same issue with it since. However, I dropped it this evening from 3ft to a vinyl floor and it died. Completely. Like I can press buttons and the LED lights, but I can not upload or download from it, IR acts ...

Howdy. I used to post here a little more frequently back when I was getting started. Really appreciate the forums and resources.

I have a URC-6131 and when I program it, it only holds the data for like 2 days tops. Then I have to reprogram it to get it to work again.

So I will be replacing it ...

Excellent! Thank you. I am sure that is what the problem is and it should be all cleared up tonight.

I was wondering what the deal was on the PVR Extrender version, I wasn't sure if I had it or not. But now that I know I do that should open up some new opportunities for me!

Thank you very much ...

I tried remapping the keys following the JP1 Beginners guide and it appears that the mapping didn't go through.

I am using the Mitsu map for 150 mapped to 1150 v7.28.

My key move for Vol + looks like this:

Bound Device: PVR
Bound Key: Volume +
Device Button: TV
Device Type: TV
Setup Code: 1150 ...

Thank you. My question to the Onkyo problem was answered here. It seems I wasn't copying *everything* in the protocol box.

I was just tired and lazy last night and didn't even think of looking at the Guide. I haven't ...

Thank you so much! Everything is working perfectly, and I saved 100's of dollars because the only remote that would support this out of the box was about $600, I can't even remember the model number.

But I can't even begin to express my appreciation for your help and this community. The address is ...

"You can change the remote address using KM or RM and IR. The 301 Upgrade and the PVR upgrade will have a field where you can enter the desired remote address."

Is there another name for this field and is there a particular tab (sheet) I can find it on? I just got my remote and JP1 cable... every ...

Darn it!

I wish I would've known. I would've loved to give you the business, but I ordered it last night. It should be here Monday.

Thank you!

Eek! -- I didn't realize it didn't have EEPROM and PINs. My fingers aren't nimble and I am a soldering newbie. I will put in an order with BlueDo right away!

Thank you, once again!

I sincerely appreciate your help and this community.

Awesome!!! That will solve my major issue.

One last question on this issue before I purchase and dig in...

What is the difference between the URC-6131 and the URC-6131M?

It appears that the 6131M supports the dish network PVR, but is the modification something I can do easily by myself? I have ...

Excellent! Thank you!

But my main issue will be the addressing of the remotes, so my PVR 510 and Dish 301 receivers don't "crosstalk". I need the remote to handle the PVR as one component and the 301 as another component but on separate addresses. I searched the FAQ's but it still isn't clear if ...

Two Dishnetwork receivers, two addresses... hopefully...

I have what I believe is an odd situation.

I preferred the channels that were available for dish network, but I sincerely wanted a dual tuner system for the PVR and PiP and at the time they didn't have a dual tuner receiver. Our solution was to purchase the Dish DP510 and Dish 301 Receivers to put ...
