Looks to me like you've squeezed just about every possible bit outta that remote. You've got 1600 bytes in essential devices upgrades and protocols (counting the Extender--without which You could never lay claim to as much of that Samsung S3C8.
The real payoff comes from being able to use all the available memory for key-moves, Macros and Special Protocols.

Looking even at the raw Data--pretty sure you're legitimately down to a scant 80 or so bits left that haven't been mapped for your own usage. I don't see where you've wasted much of anything.

Would also love another 2K on this particular remote. My ole Palm IIIxe has 8 MEG of programmable remote space and a tiny touch screen--but I like real buttons.

I have a 400 Sony DVD changer & a 300 RCA CD changer. The Palm is still useful as a warehouse of ALL the programming codes that normally have to be manually entered in those two--even with a keyboard---not fun. If i have a power outage (and those guys do tend to forget) Just point the palm at the sony, press a button and go out for dinner. It just sits there for and hour feeding macro codes. 'course I had to code IT but I only had to do that once.

Anyway I like what you've done with the space available on the 2117 which remains to this day my main and favorite remote. Bought 4 when they were first on sale--then they were scarce. Picked up about another 6 on ebay in the last 2 years.

Rob & I are both great at the underlying concept of URC's. For the sake of having One remote to Rule them ALL--we both have virtual remote Museums.
